Arjun Kapoor, who lit up home theatres screens with his latest horror comedy, Bhoot Police, took to social media to share what his next project is. The actor has joined Ek Villain Returns, directed by Mohit Suri.

Kapoor, via Instagram stories, shared a photo of himself from the set of the movie, and tagged his co-stars and producers.

The actor will share screen space with Disha Patani, John Abraham and Tara Sutaria. The team, have already shot the first two schedules, and it seems like Kapoor will be part of the thriller’s third shoot schedule.

Kapoor has earlier worked with Suri in the romantic drama Half Girlfriend, which also starred Shraddha Kapoor.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kapoor had spoken about his excitement to join the film, and to work with John Abraham once again. Abraham had served as producer alongside Nikkhil Advani for his recent dramedy Sardar Ka Grandson (streaming on Netflix).

“I am certain that between Tara (Sutaria), Disha (Patani), John, Mohit and I, we will be able to present something that’s commercial yet pushing the envelope.” he had also told Pinkvilla.

Ek Villain Returns is the follow-up of Suri’s 2014 directorial that featured Shraddha, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh. The thriller was well-received by fans and critics, and this has put a lot of expectations on the sequel.

The movie, produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, is expected to release in cinemas on 11 February next year.
