Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi: Vijayashanthi bashes media for spreading negative reviews, calls out trollers

Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi is Kalyan Ram's new film that hit the screens on April 18, 2025. The response to the film has been mixed, and a lot of negative reviews surfaced online. However, the collections were impressive on day one as the action drama made Rs 6 crore gross, which is a surprisingly decent number.

A press interaction was arranged by the team the other day, and the legendary Vijaya Shanthi, who plays Kalyan Ram's mother in the film, blasted the media and a few reviewers big time. "A new fashion has started in the industry where you bash the film with negative reviews. The more negative your review or feedback is, the more likes you get. This trend needs to stop right away," says Vijaya Shanthi.

The Osey Ramulamma actress added that the negative reviews have disturbed their film, but the audience is enjoying the movie and returning to the theaters. "The audience is clear. If they like the trailer, they will watch the film, and the same is happening with our film. Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi will break even in the next two days, and we will have a grand event."

This is not the first time that this has happened. A trend of online trolling and spreading negative talk about films is the in-thing in Tollywood these days. Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi was directed by Pradeep Chilikuri, and he narrated the story of a cop mother who goes against her son, who takes the wrong route in life. This story has been showcased in so many films to date, and this did not go well with many who watched the film.

On day two, Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi made Rs 4 crore gross, which is also a decent number. The Naa Nuvve and Patas actor, Kalyan Ram, stated that he is super thrilled with the response and frankly did not expect the film to take off so well.
