BTS, one of the world's top boy groups, boasts a massive fanbase known as ARMY, who are deeply invested in the lives of the seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. While most fans respect boundaries, there are some who cross the line by either harassing or tarnishing the reputation of their idols.
Recently, BTS's youngest member, Jeon Jungkook, travelled to LA for work, where he experienced an invasion of his privacy when photos were taken of him during his private time. Despite Jungkook's repeated requests for fans not to photograph the members during their personal moments, privacy breaches have occurred on multiple occasions. The photos in question depicted Jungkook smoking.
Although many ARMY members aren't concerned about this, some fans have raised valid questions about the breach of privacy. K-media outlets made headlines about the incident, prompting fans to question the handling of their idols' privacy.
On September 9, when Jungkook returned to South Korea, a large crowd gathered at the airport to welcome him, nearly mobbing the idol. In fact, the singer had to rush to his car due to the swelling crowd. ARMY has been urging HYBE and BIGHIT to take steps to protect their artists' privacy.
In terms of his work, Jungkook has been making a significant impact on the international music scene with his solo single 'SEVEN,' which has earned a nomination for Song of the Summer at the upcoming VMAs. Furthermore, on September 8, Jungkook was officially announced as a co-headliner for the Global Citizen Festival 2023, scheduled to take place in New York on September 23.
