Every person in India in their late 20s will probably relate to the story Arranged on Amazon miniTV. The short film revolves around an arranged marriage proposal. Directed by Ritesh Menon, Rithvik Dhanjani and Tridha Choudhury will be playing the lead roles.
The makers have released the trailer of the short film. It opens with Richa (Tridha) being told by her mother about the best proposal she has received for her. She seems to have followed the usual process of shortlisting a prospect based on his bio and ensuring if he's doing financially well. But sometimes, there could be some secrets that could impact the other's future. The trailer ends with Richa and Tarun speaking to each other. Richa is seen showing her phone to Tarun saying that she'd like to share something and Tarun was not prepared for it.

Arranged is a story of Richa and Tarun (Rithvik Dhanjani), who are arranged to meet by their parents to discuss the prospect of marriage. They try to figure out if they are compatible with each other in an arranged marriage. During their conversations, they are seen discovering new things about each other that feel far from normal. Will the two connect or will this new information shock them? ‘Arranged’ throws light into the lives of such young prospective couples, finding their way amidst some odds and uncertainties.
Girish Prabhu, Head of Amazon Advertising says in his press statement that the platform strives to always bring fresh, engaging and relatable content for the viewers and Arranged is one such unique and heartwarming short film with an interesting take on arranged marriages.
The film is produced by Terribly Tiny Tales. Anuj Gosalia, founder & CEO of TTT, talks about the film. He says Arranged is a unique and progressive take on how young adults in India choose their prospective life partner in an arranged marriage. Calling it special, he adds that it helps build on their legacy of telling personal and relatable stories that touch the audiences’ hearts and also entertain them. "With the powerhouse talents of Rithvik and Tridha, Ritesh Menon's astute direction - Arranged is a tiny gem," he says.
The film will be out on Amazon miniTV on the Amazon shopping app on March 25.
