Actor Arun Vijay recently met the producer of Thadam Hindi remake in Mumbai. A picture of the actor with producer Murad Khetani and the film's leading lady Mrunal Thakur is doing the rounds on the internet.

Thadam is an action crime thriller directed by Magizh Thirumeni that released in 2019. The film had Arun Vijay in a dual role, that too for the first time in his acting career. The Hindi version, on the other hand, will have Aditya Roy Kapur opposite Mrunal Thakur and will be directed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar. The film is yet to get a title.

The original in Tamil had Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat and Vidya Pradeep playing the leading ladies. Thadam marked the Tamil debut of Tanya and acting debut of Smruthi. Music for the film was by Arun Raj, cinematography by Gopinath and editing was by NB Srikanth. This was the second collaboration between Arun Vijay and Magizh Thirumeni after they came together for Thadaiyaara Thaakka, which was also well received by the audience.

Thadam came for praise by the audience and had a successful run at the Box Office. The film was remade in Telugu as Red with Ram Pothineni playing the lead.

In the meantime, Arun Vijay's last release was Oh My Dog. The film, directed by debutant Sarov Shanmugam, had Arun Vijay, Vinay Rai, Mahima Nambiar and Vijayakumar as part of the star cast. Oh My Dog also marked the debut of Arun Vijay's son Arnav Vijay in films. Music for the film was by Nivas K. Prasanna, cinematography by Gopinath and editing by Meghanathan.

This apart, Arun Vijay also has a slew of films in his kitty, including Borrder (directed by Arivazhagan Venkatachalam), Agni Siragugal (directed by Naveen), Yaanai (helmed by Hari), Boxer (directed by Vivek) and Sinam (spearheaded by Kumaravelan.
