Arun Vijay's Borrder to be a direct OTT release?

Actor Arun Vijay's upcoming film Borrder is ready for release. If rumours are to be believed, this Arivazhagan directorial will have an OTT release, a confirmation for which is expected to be announced by the filmmakers soon. Border stars Regina Cassandra as the female lead alongside Stefy Patel, who will be the second female lead. The movie, touted to be a spy thriller, will feature Arun and Regina as RAW agents.

Produced by All in Pictures’ Vijay Raghavendra and Prabhu Thilak's 11:11 Productions, Borrder was supposed to release in May on an OTT platform. However, these plans seem to have gotten delayed. Many film producers in Tamil Nadu are opting for direct-to-digital releases in lieu of the pandemic. The uncertainty of when theatres will open has become apparent.

Actress Stefy Patel, who has previously acted in Telugu movies, is playing the second female lead in the movie. Stefy was Miss Teen International 2016 and is being introduced to Tamil cinema via this project. Actor Bagavathi Perumal will also be seen in a supporting role.

The technical team for the movie consists of cinematographer B Rajasekhar and the editing team is headed by Sabu Joseph. Arun and Arivazhagan have previously worked together in Kuttram 23 - a 2017 crime thriller movie.

Besides Borrder, Arun also has a cop thriller movie titled Sinam, an untitled project with director Hari, and Agni Siragugal in the pipeline.
