Arya is a very special film in Telugu cinema, as it launched the careers of not one but three people. Allu Arjun scored the first hit of his career and became a sensation in Tollywood. The romantic drama was directed by debutant Sukumar, who now directs films like Pushpa. Lastly, producer Dil Raju scored big with the film and became a name to reckon with in the industry. He has produced over 50 films in his career.
Young hero joins the Arya franchise
After the massive success of Arya, Sukumar made Arya 2 with Allu Arjun, which also became a smash hit. A few days ago, Dil Raju and his company registered Arya 3 with the Film Chamber, creating a buzz. Rumors began circulating that the Pushpa combo was set to reunite once again.
Well, we at OTTplay have exclusive information about this. The news is that Arya 3 will not feature Allu Arjun but will star producer Dil Raju's nephew, Ashish Reddy, in the lead role. Ashish has done two films so far, and one of them, Rowdy Boys, was a box office hit.
Dil Raju will be making Arya 3 with his nephew, and the special aspect is that Sukumar has penned the story and screenplay and is also co-producing the film along with Dil Raju. Sukumar owns a banner named Sukumar Writings, under which he produces films that he scripts. The same will happen with this film in the days to come.
So, for all those expecting the Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo star to appear in Arya 3, that will not be the case. A source close to the unit reveals that the makers feel Allu Arjun is now too mature to play such a young role, which is why the franchise is continuing with a younger hero.

Dil Raju, known for films like Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, is confident that Arya 3 will be made without compromise, and preparation for the project has already begun. Devi Sri Prasad, who composed music for Arya and Arya 2, will do the honors for Arya 3 as well.
On the other hand, the Race Gurram actor, Allu Arjun, is currently busy with his new film, which will be directed by Atlee on a massive scale. Pre-production is currently underway.
