Arya to act in an Amazon Prime web series

After the overwhelming success of his comeback film Sarpatta Parambarai directed by Pa Renjith, Arya is very busy with his personal life as a new father and professionally as an actor. He is currently busy shooting Sundar C’s movie Aranmanai 3, the third instalment in the horror-comedy franchise.

Now as per the latest reports, Arya has signed a web series for the OTT giant Amazon Prime Video. The web series is rumoured to be the most expensive web series made in Tamil. Arya is roped in to play the protagonist. The actor hasn’t revealed anything about the web series except that it will be directed by Milind Rau.

Milind Rau has worked with Arya’s brother Sathya in his debut directorial Kadhal 2 Kalyanam. The director rose to fame with his second film Aval, a 2017 horror movie starring Siddharth and Andrea Jeremiah in lead roles. After that, he recently directed the Nayanthara starrer crime thriller Netrikann, a remake of the Korean movie The Blind. The movie premiered on Disney+Hotstar. While the movie received praise for the performance of Nayanthara and Ajmal, it was criticised for many loops in logic.

Arya, on the other hand, is basking in the glory of Sarpatta Parambarai in which he played a boxing champion. The movie premiered on Amazon Prime and received great reviews. The actor is currently involved in the shooting of Aranmanai 3 and is awaiting the release of Enemy where he will play the antagonist.
