Arya to team up with Shakti Soundar Rajan for the second time after Teddy

Arya is riding high on the success of the recently-released Sarpatta Parambarai, with offers pouring in from directors such as Mouna Guru’s Santha Kumar and Teddy’s Shakti Soundar Rajan. After the release of the fantasy movie, Rajan is all set to direct Arya for the second time in an action-drama.

The filmmaker has completed the pre-production work for the upcoming movie and is geared up to start the filming process. Further details including the movie’s female lead along with the cast and crew will be officially announced when the movie starts rolling.

The actor and director duo’s Teddy featured Sayyesha in the female lead. The movie was also the first Tamil movie to use an Indian animation company to design the animation for the teddy bear. It is also the second movie after Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyan to take up motion-capture technology.

Rajan is known to experiment in his movies with different genres. He had earlier worked in the zombie thriller Miruthan and the space movie Tik Tik Tik. His movie Naaigal Jaakiradhai is also the first Tamil movie that featured a dog as the main protagonist.

Arya is currently awaiting an Amazon Prime web series to go on floors. It will be directed by Milind Rau of Netrikann fame. The actor will also be teaming up with directors Santha Kumar and Nalan Kumaraswamy for their next respective projects. He is also awaiting the release of Sundar C’s Aranmanai 3 starring Raashi Khanna.
