What happens when kids of rich celebrities get accidentally embroiled in a drug case? This is the question that has been running wild in the minds of people for about two years. On October 3, 2021, Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for allegedly consuming drugs and selling the same while partying on a cruise near Mumbai. Aryan, at that point in time, was partying along with some high-profile celebrities.

Soon, he along with his friends were arrested by the police officials and the rest is history. A year later, in 2022, Aryan was found not guilty in the case. However, the officers involved in putting the celebrity’s son behind bars are nowadays in the news. One such officer is Sameer Wankhede – the former Mumbai zone head of the Narcotics Control Bureau. He has been charged with ₹25 crore alleged bribery case in connection with Aryan Khan's arrest.

Today, in a fresh development in the case against Wankhede, he has reached the CBI office in Mumbai to face interrogation. “Wankhede has been accused of demanding Rs 25 crore from Shah Rukh Khan when his son Aryan Khan was arrested in October 2021 from a cruise. In the Bombay high court on Friday, Sameer Wankhede, in his defence, produced his chats with Shah Rukh Khan where Shah Rukh praised Wankhede's integrity as he requested Wankhede to be kind to Aryan,” reported the Hindustan Times.

However, there is no official statement claiming that the WhatsApp chats produced in the court hold to be true. A report published in Times Now claims that Shah Rukh’s close friend on anonymity told the news portal that the chats are fake as King Khan never uses WhatsApp as a social media platform.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in the film Jawan releasing in September this year. Later in the year, Shah will be seen in the film Dunki.
