It has been ten long years since Baahubali: The Beginning hit the screens. On the 10th anniversary, the makers are re-releasing the film with the title Baahubali: The Epic. The special aspect is that the two-part film has been edited into a standalone version and is being released on October 31, 2025.
The bookings in the Telugu states have crossed ₹5 crore already, and there is solid hype for the biggie. On the other hand, the main leads, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, caught up with director Rajamouli for a candid interview and spoke about several interesting aspects of the film.
During their conversation, Rajamouli asked Prabhas which scene was the most difficult to shoot, and the superstar stated that the scene, where he chops off the head of a man who misbehaves with his wife Devasena, played by Anushka Shetty, was the toughest.
"I remember we shot that key scene on just the third day of the shoot, and I had to get into a lot of emotions to carry it out. Rajamouli told me that my close-up expressions would be highlighted during the shoot. As it was only the third day of filming, it was hard to get into the character and perform such an intense scene," said Prabhas.
Rana Daggubati also revealed that when Rajamouli narrated the story of Baahubali as a single film, he was shocked and tense about how he would handle such an intense role.
The makers have planned special premieres in Hyderabad to celebrate the re-release.
All those who missed the film can stream it on OTTplay Premium. Once the film releases, we will have to wait and see how much Baahubali: The Epic collects worldwide.
