As Dushara Vijayan joins Chiyaan 62, here are three big Tamil projects the actor is part of

Dushara Vijayan, who was last seen in Aneethi, has become a sought-after actor in Tamil film industry, after the actor was announced to be part of some of the most expected big projects. The actor who made her debut with the 2019 film Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari, rose to fame for her role as Mariamma in Pa Ranjith’s Sarpatta Parambarai. 

She further cemented her position in the industry by collaborating with Ranjith once again, and showed her acting prowess with the character Rene in Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, in which she played a confident theatre artist, coming from an oppressed background. Now, the actor is part of three upcoming big films and here are them:

Vettaiyan

Headlined by Rajinikanth, this will mark the first time Dushara will be sharing the screen space with the superstar. While Dushara’s role is not disclosed, the actor will be working with some of the unknown faces of the Indian film industry, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and others. Vettaiyan is directed by TJ Gnanavel and backed by Lyca Productions.

Raayan

Dushara will also be seen in Dhanush’s directorial Raayan. Besides direction, Dhanush will also be headlining the film which is backed by Sun Pictures. Dushara will be seen working with Dhanush for the first time, but will mark her second collaboration with Kalidas Jayaram after Natchathiram Nagargiradhu. Raayan also boasts a star ensemble including SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and others. Raayan will be a gangster drama.

Chiyaan 62

It was recently announced that Dushara is part of Chiyaan 62, the upcoming tentatively titled project starring Vikram in the lead role. Chiyaan 62 is directed by SU Arun Kumar of Chittha fame. The film also stars SJ Suryah and Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu in his Tamil debut. Dushara Vijayan’s casting came as the latest update of the project, which will go on floors in April. Produced by HR Pictures, Chiyaan 62 is touted to be an action thriller in which Vikram plays a middle-aged man.
