Ashneer Grover aims to become country’s minister in 5 years: Life has been preparing me for politics

Shark Tank India’s former judge Ashneer Grover has revealed his future plans and they involve politics. He aims to become the country’s minister in the next five years. The entrepreneur has shared the same and stated that life has been preparing him for politics.

Ashneer, who is currently 40, aims to become like Indian-origin UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Comparing his situation to Rishi’s, Ashneer asked if he can, why not him?

Not completely satisfied by his own achievements, Ashneer said on The Ranveer Show podcast, “Fundametally, mereko ek dn minister banna hai country mein. Mere paas abhi koi crystalised plan nahi hai.”

After becoming famous and ‘proving himself in the business,’ Ashneer feels the need to go beyond. He believes in going into nation building, where there’s a lot of impact. According to Ashneer, that can happen only in politics.

Having experienced so much ‘murkiness in life,’ this ex-Shark believes that life was preparing him for politics. “It will happen in the next five to seven years, for sure,” he assured.

Ashneer then compared himself to Rishi Sunak, who became UK’s PM at the age of 42. “Main 45 ki ummeed rakhun toh log bolte hain that soon,” he shared.

While Ashneer did not confirm what kind of minister he wants to become, while comparing himself to Rishi, it looks like the Shark is aiming for the chair of the PM. The businessman has not been associated with politics before this. He has only recently started appearing in various projects, including the web series, Pitchers season 2.

Ashneer was associated with BharatPe for the longest time. He got famous through Shark Tank India and soon, decided to resign from the organization. Ashneer has since then been working on his book called Doglapan: The Hard Truths about Life and Start-Ups. He did not associate himself with Shark Tank India season 2 after achieving massive fame through season 1.
