Ashneer Grover, a former Shark Tank India star, responded to a recent remark made by his former colleague Namita Thapar about the second season of the show lacking any "toxicity." Ashneer left the show after appearing in the popular first season, and some of his fellow sharks have commented on his exit.

Ashneer was questioned about Namita's remarks on a recent podcast, in which she stated that the primary difference between the first and second seasons will be a lack of toxicity, in front of a huge crowd of thousands at IIT Kharagpur's annual fest. Many saw her words as an unintentional jab at Ashneer, who had earned a reputation for being a no-nonsense character during his time on the show. No participant would be humiliated on season two, contrary to what some were the first time around, according to Anupam Mittal, who was also present at the interview in which Namita made her comment.

Post this, Ashneer said, “Yaar dekh, main yahan pe aaya, maine Namita Thapar ki baat ki? Uska reason hai, kyunki main usse miss hi nahi karta. Par woh mereko miss karti hai. Chahe woh toxicity bol le ya kuch bhi bol le, miss toh mereko hi kar rahi hai na (Look, I haven’t mentioned Namita even once. There’s a reason for that; I don’t miss her. But she misses me. She can call it whatever she likes, but she is missing me).”

Ashneer indicated in an earlier interview that he "dominated" season one, albeit he hasn't yet given a convincing explanation for his choice to not come back.
