Vishwak Sen, last seen in the romantic drama Paagal, is going against the grain to play a restrained, introverted character in his next, Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam. The family entertainer, where he is paired alongside Rukhsar Dhillon, is directed by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Vidyasagar Chinta. Produced by Sudheer Edara and Bapineedu B under SVCC Digital, the film is set to hit theatres on March 4, the makers announced in the teaser that was launched earlier today.
The teaser introduces the title character Arjun as a guy in his early 30s, who is unlucky with women in general and is struggling to find arranged matches owing to his age. Even when an alliance seems to be matieralising (an intercaste marriage) and he's gradually falling in love with the prospective bride, Arjun finds various ways to get into trouble. There are several awkward situations he faces with his future in-laws. Is there some light at the end of the tunnel for this desperate man?
AVAK is a fine choice by Vishwak to change gears at the right time of his character where he needs to be experimenting with full zest. Ritika Nayak too plays a crucial role in it. Written by Ravi Kiran Kola, the film has music by Jay Krish. The technical crew includes Pavi K Pavan (cinematographer), Viplav Nyshadam (editor) with Pravalya Duddupudi handling production design. Vamsipriya Rasineni is in charge of sound design.
The same banner is also backing Priyamani starrer Bhama Kalapam that's releasing on aha on February 11.
