Ashwin Babu’s next is titled Vachina Vaadu Gowtham, film formally launched today

Ashwin Babu, known for his appearances in films like Genius and the horror-comedy franchise Raju Gari Gadhi, has embarked on a new project. He is joining hands with a first-time filmmaker M R Krishna for a medical thriller driven by a new-age premise. DSR, who has bankrolled popular films like Pilla Zamindar, Drona, and Mr Nookayya, under Shree Shailendra Cinemas is backing the film. Palak Lalwani is cast as the female lead in the film.

The film, which commenced today, has been titled Vachina Vaadu Gowtham. Nassar, Kantara fame Achyuth Kumar, RJ Hemanth, Sanja Janak and Madhavi form the supporting cast of the thriller. Vachina Vaadu Gowtham was launched in Ramanaidu Studios in the presence of several bigwigs of the industry, including producers Damodara Prasad, Bekkem Venugopal, directors AS Ravi Kumar, V Samudra, and actor Raja Ravindra.

While Damodara Prasad sounded the clapboard for the first shot featuring Ashwin and Palak Lalwani, with Bellamkonda Suresh switching on the camera. Producer Anil Sunkara directed the sequence. Actor-producer DSR a.k.a DS Rao expressed his happiness about returning to film production after a break. “I liked the story that MR Krishna narrated to me. Under the guidance of Suresh Babu garu, we are going ahead after being convinced with the story.”

“Ashwin Babu will be seen in a different avatar in this project. Top-notch technicians are part of the crew. The film will release in May and we plan to shoot in Vizag and Hyderabad. The regular shoot will commence in January 2023,” DSR added. Sham K Naidu cranks the camera for the project which will have music by Hari Gowra. Ram-Lakshman will choreograph the action sequences. Prawin Pudi is the editor and Raghu Kulkarni is the art director respectively.
