Director Jibu Jacob’s political entertainer Ellam Sheriyakum will hit theatres soon. The makers released the first teaser from the Asif Ali and Rajisha Vijayan-starrer along with announcing the release date.

The teaser introduces the duo as ‘sakhaavu’ Vineeth and Ancy as they disembark a bus and are met by the members of the former’s political party. Ancy quickly remarks she’s no ‘sakhaavu’. The video also shows another clip that has a pregnant Ancy kicking Vineeth from her bed. Vineeth quickly gets up and tells her that he dreamt of their baby kicking him.

The movie marks the second collaboration between Asif and Jibu, after Vellimoonga that was once again a political entertainer. Ellam Sheriyakum, which is scripted by Sharis Mohammed, is slated to release in theatres on November 19. Rajisha and Asif had earlier teamed up in Anuraga Karikkin Vellam.

Asif, meanwhile, is currently shooting for a few portions in another political film titled Kothth that is directed by Sibi Malayil. In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Asif had told us about picking back-to-back political films. “I find certain films interesting because of what I hear about the incidents that are happening in our society. Sibi sir’s Kothu is based on the emotions of political murders. The idea is that it affects the family more than the party. Jibu chettan’s film is about a person who takes up politics because he is unemployed. So, though both deal with politics, they are different ideas,” said the actor in the interview.

The actor is also part of Mathukutty’s Kunjeldho, Rajeev Ravi’s Kuttavum Shikshayum and Jis Joy’s untitled movie.
