According to sources close to the industry, the production of Asukh Bisukh was stalled due to the cash-strapped situation of the house, Shyamsundar Dey’s Shadow Films.
The outdoor shooting of Koushik Ganguly’s film Asukh Bisukh is finished and one more day of shooting is due. However, according to sources close to the industry, the production is stalled due to the cash-strapped situation of the house, Shyamsundar Dey’s Shadow Films. It is reported that Surinder Films was recently listed as the co-producer of the film.
Shyamsundar Dey confirmed the news in a report by Anandabazar online. “There must be some reasons behind two production houses getting united. There can be some plans also but I don't want to comment anything about it.” He also said that the film is to be released in January.
Earlier, it was reported that Shyamsundar Dey wanted to withdraw himself from the film production. Allegations were made against him regarding payment irregularities. However, in that report, Shyamsundar said, “My office is going well and my phone is on. I don't know why you think my company will shut down.”
Shadow Films has been the original producer of Asukh Bisukh, starring Ankush, Parambrata Chatterjee, Ishaa Saha, and Sayani Gupta. It is the debut of Sayani in Bengali films. Now Surinder Film’s name is added and hence, people are guessing that Surinder wants to help Shyamsundar to finish the film. Koushik Ganguly is known to be a commercially successful director and he has a good rapport with Surinder’s.
