The highly anticipated psychological crime drama is back with its second season. Starring Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti, Asur season 2 releases soon on Jio Cinema. After an engrossing first look teaser, the makers have dropped the thrilling official trailer video.

The latest trailer begins by taking the audience back to the teenage life of the villain, which is portrayed by Vishesh Bansal, while its adult version is played by Amey Wagh. It further showcases how, as a teenager, the Asur likes to walk on the path of evil and construct the world according to his will.

The trailer also unveils how the Asur wants to end the current world merely like a mythological being Kalki. Arshad as the investigative officer can be seen attaining the spirituality and going into the depth of it to understand the antagonist's mind and vision, while Barun seems to be fighting alone with the correct rules.

This season, it seems to be a fight with the evil, who have weaponised the technology to harm humans and destroy the world. The trailer also gives glimpses of the important cast in the show including Ridhi Dogra.

Makers dropped the latest trailer with a special caption that reads, "Mahayudh nikat hai. Kalyug ko uske charam seema tak pahunchane ka samay aa gaya hai. Asur aa gaya hai. India's biggest mythological thriller is back. #Asur2 trailer out now! #Asur2OnJioCinema streaming free, 1 June onwards. (sic)."

Along with Arshad, Barun, Rishi, Amey and Vishesh, the highly anticipated series also features Anupriya Goenka, Meiyang Chang and Gaurav Arora in key roles along with Pawan Chopra as supporting characters.

Asur season 2 is slated to have an OTT release on June 1, 2023 on Jio Cinema and it will be available to stream for free.
