Watch The Whale on OTTplay
Telugu superstar Jr NTR is making new friends in Hollywood. At the pre-Oscar party, he ran into Brendan Fraser, who is known for the horror-action adventure The Mummy franchise. Brendan has been nominated for the Academy Awards in the Best Actor category.
After staying away from the movies quite for several years, Brendan made a comeback with the tragic drama The Whale. He gave a memorable performance as a man suffering from chronic obesity in the movie, which was helmed by Darren Aronofsky. And Jr NTR wished Brendan for tomorrow. If Brendan bags the top awards at the Oscars, it would go down as a powerful comeback story in the history of Hollywood.
"Good luck for tomorrow Brendan Fraser sir," Tarak captioned while sharing a picture of himself with Brendan at a party.
Earlier this week, Tarak flew to the US to join the RRR team. Written and directed by SS Rajamouli, the film has gained unprecedented popularity in America. The film's smash hit 'Naatu Naatu' has been nominated for the OBest Orginal Song. The song is up against Applause from Tell It Like a Woman, Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, This Is a Life from Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Composer M. M. Keeravani's dance number has already beaten some of the Hollywood heavyweights to bag the top honour at the Golden Globes. And fans of the movie across the world are hoping that the same will repeat at the Oscars.
Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Rajamouli have dedicated a lot of time and effort to create awareness about the movie among the voters at the Academy. The winners of the 95th Oscars will be announced on March 12. People in India can watch the Oscars live on Disney+Hotstar early Monday morning.
