The International Cannes Film Festival is going on these days with a bang. Unlike usual, this year a huge number of Indian celebrities have graced the red carpet including popular ones like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Guneet Monga, Vijay Varma, Manushi Chhillar, Urvashi Rautela, Mrunal Thakur and Diana Penty to name a few.

And now, fresh developments have swept in. If reports are to be believed, actress Anushka Sharma, filmmaker Atlee and actress Sunny Leone are all set to walk down the red carpet.

Today, Anushka, Atlee and Sunny were clicked at Mumbai airport while they were heading towards their destination in France.

Earlier in the month, Embassy of France in India confirmed that Anushka Sharma will be amongst those attending the event. Anushka Sharma and her on-screen and off-screen equation with her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli often wins hearts of people globally. Kohli is the most followed Asian celebrity who has over a 100 million followers on Instagram.

Atlee too is remaining in the spotlight nowadays – credits to his upcoming film Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Priyamani, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara among others.

Last night, prominent public figures like Apple CEO Tim Cook, Hollywood actors Leonardo Di Caprio and Tobey Maguire, Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap were among those who graced the event in Cannes in style.

This year is a special year for India at Cannes as well. On Day 1 of the event, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L Murugan led an Indian Delegation to Cannes International Film Festival this year.

Dr Murugan was accompanied by Oscar winning filmmaker Guneet Monga, model-actress Manushi Chhillar, actress Esha Gupta and actor Kangabam Tomba, whose restore film ‘Ishanau’, is being screened in Cannes Classic Section this year.
