Very recently, Varun Dhawan unveiled the first look of VD18 and revealed that it is titled Baby John. The movie is presented by Jawan director Atlee, who spoke about the film for the first time on a public platform. He gave a hint about Baby John’s storyline during the interaction.
What Atlee said
Atlee called Baby John his biggest production film at this point. This was during his interaction at ABP Conclave. Calling the movie special, he said, “It’s gonna talk about how good parenting is required for the society.” The filmmaker ended up calling the movie a mass, killer film that people will enjoy in theatres.
About Baby John
Varun Dhawan has announced VD 18, a project that many were excited to know about. He unveiled the name of the film with a title release promo. The short clip took everyone by surprise, for it was filled with intense emotions even in the shortest time possible.
Atlee and Varun’s projects
Atlee had helmed 2023’s biggest film, Jawan. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, it created history both in theatres and on OTT. He is now only producing Baby John. Apart from that, he has penned the story of Ustaad Bhagat Singh (touted to be the Telugu remake of Theri, while Baby John is the Hindi version).
Varun, on the other hand, was seen in Bawaal opposite Janhvi Kapoor. The actor has various projects at hand currently. Apart from Baby John, he will be seen reprising his Bhediya character for Stree 2. Varun is also a part of Raj and DK’s Citadel India opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. More recently, what is assumed to be Dulhania 3, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, was announced. In the film, Varun features opposite Janhvi Kapoor instead of Alia Bhatt. The actor is also likely to be seen in Sanki and Bhediya 2 soon after.
