Composer Mani Sharma is the first name that comes to a movie buff’s mind when there’s a discussion around the best dance numbers in Telugu cinema in the 2000s. Well, the musician, with Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini, yet again proves that there’s more fire in his belly. Attaanti Ittaanti, the latest song from the mass entertainer starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sanjana Anand, sung by Keerthana Sharma and Saketh Komanduri, was launched today.

Nenu Attanti Ittanti Daanni Kaadu Maavo..Neeku Chematalu Pattinchukoni Ponu Maamo..the song goes where Kiran Abbavaram, in a rustic avatar, dances like there’s no tomorrow. The number has an incredibly catchy musical hook and it’s hard to resist the temptation to drop everything else and start grooving to this. That’s not all - the song, much like Ra Ra Reddy from Macherla Niyojakavargam, pays a homage to two other popular yesteryear (Mani Sharma) numbers - Chilakapacha Koka and Aata Kaavala.

While Chilakapacha Koka is a number from Balakrishna’s Narasimha Naidu, Aata Kaavala is another dance song in Chiranjeevi’s Annayya. Lahari Music has bought the audio rights of the entertainer. Sonu Thakur, Siddharth Menon, SV Krishna Reddy, Baba Bhaskar, Sameer, Sangeetha, Niharika, Pramodini and Bharath Rongali too play important roles in Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini. The film is helmed by Sridhar Gadhe, who had earlier teamed up with Kiran Abbavaram for SR Kalyana Mandapam.

The film, set to hit theatres on September 9, is produced by late filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna’s daughter Kodi Divya Deepthi under Kodi Divya Entertainments. Raj K Nalli is the cinematographer while Upendra Reddy is the art director. Prawin Pudi is the editor with Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar being the sole lyricist for the entire album. The makers, in a statement, expressed their happiness for the response to the teaser and the other songs released to date. Kiran Abbavaram’s other releases this year include Sebastian PC524 and Sammathame.
