The makers of John Abraham’s upcoming action entertainer, Attack, released the movie’s second official trailer on Tuesday. The actor has now opened up about reports comparing the movie to movies from the Hollywood action franchise, Universal Soldier.
As reported by Times of India, the actor said, “I have simple logic. If Hollywood can do it, why can't we? Our obstacles are always that we have less budget. Even we didn't have that humongous a budget, but what we were allotted, we made a fantastic film.”
The actor added that the inspiration was to make an Indian movie which the world will watch and think that we can make such movies too and that even we have supersoldiers and action heroes who wear their underwear outside their pants.
Abraham also confirmed that the movie was based on the idea that future wars will be fought on technology and artificial intelligence.
The actor, who is also one of the producers of the movie, said that they intend on taking the movie forward and already have a script or a sequel ready. He added while he can’t comment on the box office success of Attack, the makers have a good movie ready.
Co-written and directed by Lakshya Raj Anand, the movie is produced by Abraham's JA Entertainment, Pen Studios and Ajay Kapoor's Kyta Productions. Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj, Ratna Pathak Shah and Elham Ehsaas are also part of the movie’s cast.
The “first of a kind” sci-fi action thriller, which will see the action star play a super-soldier, is set to hit theatres around the country on April 1.
