Attack promises to be an action thriller the likes of which the country has never seen before. Atleast, that is what the film’s stars have to say of the John Abraham starrer, which follows the story of ‘India’s first super soldier’. Rakul Preet Singh also features in a pivotal role in the film and the actress recently opened up about the project.

She had attended a promotional event for the film in Noida, where the actress shared her experience working on the film. As reported by IANS, Rakul talked of the love Indian audiences had for big spectacle action films such as the Spider-man films. "Although audiences enjoyed such films, people still had this thought that when it comes to domestic films, India was not ready for films of that nature. Because we haven't seen anything in our own country we think we are not ready for it but if India was not ready there wouldn't have been such a huge market for international films," she said.

Rakul also talked about how special her experience working on the film had been. The movie had given her the opportunity to take the plunge and tackle a ‘risky’ genre. The fact that such a unique film had been made in India too was something the actress felt proud of.

The upcoming movie also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Prakash Raj, Ratna Pathak Shah and Elham Ehsaas. Lakshya Raj Anand has directed the film, which has been produced under the banners of JA Entertainment, Pen Studios and Kyta Productions.

Attack will be released in theatres on April 1.

Meanwhile, Rakul also has another film slated for release in April, Runway 34. Starring Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles, the film will hit theatres on April 29.
