Andy Serkis, aka Andrew Clement Serkis is a British actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his work in performance capture, voice acting, and animation.

Serkis rose to fame after he portrayed the character of Gollum in the Lords of The Ring Trilogy. He has since starred in several productions, including voicing King Kong in the 2005 hit movie, King Kong.

Serkis has portrayed and voiced several characters in various films. Some of his notable works include Caesar in the most recent Planet of the Apes trilogy, as Captain Haddock in The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (2011), Klaw in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and most recently, Alfred Pennyworth in The Batman.

Serkis is also an accomplished director having helmed films such as Breathe (2007), and Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle (2018). He owns the production company and motion capture workshop, The Imaginarium, and in 2020 was honoured with the BAFTA Award for Outstanding Contribution to Cinema.
