What would you do if another person shares your digital footprint and proving your identity becomes a gargantuan task? That is the crux of debutant director Ashok Samrat’s 2025 film Avanirabekittu, which is finally headed to OTT. The psychological thriller, starring Bharat Hassan, Sowmya John, Jayasimha, Lakshmi Devamma, and Prashanth Siddi, among others, will be available on Cinebazzar OTT, starting February 6, 2026. However, for the first one week, the film will be on rental only, at Rs 49. Thereafter, subscribers will have free access.
Interestingly, the film is based on Ashok’s personal experience, when he struggled to prove his identity. He was quoted as saying that the haunting feeling of being invisible, of not being acknowledged is what he used to weave the story together. The core plot of the film revolves around the protagonist, Dev (Bharat) finds out that another person has stolen his identity. Worse still is that this identity theft is also siphoning large sums of money.

And then it turns out that Dev is not the only victim. Bhavya (Sowmya) and the same mystery person share the same documents. How Dev and Bhavya then try and figure out who is behind this elaborate scam is what the film is about. Avanirabekittu is the latest addition to Cinebazzar’s content library. A week ago, the streamer had made the Kannada comedy Nimagondu Sihi Suddi available.
Also on the streamer are recent films like Son of Muthanna, Teddy Bear, Evidence, Black Sheep, Room Boy, Somu Sound Engineer, Eltuu Muthaa, Maadeva, among others.
