Avatar The Way Of Water Box Office Collections Opening Weekend: James Cameron’s film creates a storm

At the Indian box office, Avatar The Way of Water released to an outstanding response. The movie released to raving reviews and has since garnered praise for both its outstanding visual effects and storyline. The sci-fi drama Avatar by James Cameron set box office records in South India. Avatar 2 reportedly made a staggering Rs 3,500 crore worldwide in just three days, according to trade figures. The movie also earned more collections than Doctor Strange did in India. Although the movie easily defeated Avengers Endgame in the southern circuits, it opened behind the 2019 blockbuster in India.

Avatar - The Way Of Water might have outperformed Avatar in north and eastern circuits like CI, Bihar, and Assam (2009). Avatar 2 earned Rs 160 crore in India by the conclusion of the first weekend.

Avatar The Way of Water's producers reported that during the first weekend in India, the movie grossed Rs 160 crore. Given the FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, it was anticipated that the third day of the weekend would have a reduced attendance, but the movie held its own. 

As the first movie to premiere with such an astounding number in the post-pandemic era, Avatar has outperformed all other Bollywood releases from this year as well as previous Hollywood blockbusters. Bollywood blockbusters like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Drishyam 2 were unable to reach these levels of popularity.

About Avatar The Way Of Water, the paraplegic marine Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) from the film "Avatar" helped the Na'vi, a race of intelligent, blue-skinned, 10-foot-tall humanoids, in their struggle for existence. Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, and Zoe Saldana all starred in the movie.
