After following the footsteps of his father as a musician, Avitesh Shrivastava is gearing up to make his mark in the film industry as an actor. The son of the late composer Aadesh Srivastava will make his film debut in the upcoming drama Sirf Ek Friday.
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to wish the debutante well on his acting journey, with a post that featured the first look poster from the upcoming film. The poster features a photograph of Avitesh with the ‘navarasas’ or nine emotions, which form the crux of acting, floating around him.
According to a report in The Free Press Journal, the film will revolve around the story of a young man from an affluent family and lives a carefree life of luxury. In order to fulfill the wishes of his ill mother, he decides to take up a career as an actor, a task which proves to be much more difficult than he bargained for. A no-nonsense mentor makes sure the young man’s lessons are as effective as possible, putting him through situations where he can personally experience the navarasas in full intensity.
Talking about the role, Avitesh had expressed how grateful he is to be a part of the film and how he’s moved by its touching and relatable story.
Sirf Ek Friday is directed by Lloyd Baptista and bankrolled by Deepak Mukut, Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla under the banners of Soham Rockstar Entertainment and Mini Films. Hunar Mukut also serves as a co-producer.
