Avneet Kaur's big reveal - She auditioned for 2 Aamir Khan films but was rejected!

Did you know that actress Avneet Kaur auditioned for two films that star Aamir Khan but was not selected for either movie? The films for which she auditioned were the 2016 hit Dangal and the 2017 film Secret Superstar. Sharing a picture with Aamir on her Instagram handle, Avneet revealed that she auditioned and did workshops for these two films but could not make it through.

Avneet recently met Aamir at the screening of director Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies. She shared a picture with her "favourite actor", Aamir, while revealing that this is the first picture of them together. In the caption, Avneet revealed that she had auditioned and attended workshops for Dangal and Secret Superstar, but she did not land the roles.

Along with the picture with Aamir, Avneet wrote, “#AboutLastNight at the premiere of Laapata ladies, I met the perfectionist and one of my favourite actor Aamir Khan Sir and what you see in the photograph above is the time I met him first. I auditioned and did workshops for two of his films, Dangal and Secret Superstar. Unfortunately I could not make it through, but he did tell me that he loved my auditions and that meant so much to me.”

In the picture, Avneet is wearing a black top and denim pants. Aamir looks dapper in a black ensemble, teamed with black shades and cool hairdo.

Avneet’s followers took notice of the post, and one wrote, “Two superstars in one frame.” Another wrote, “Fav personalities in one frame.”

Avneet's journey as a leading lady began with the 2023 film Tiku Weds Sheru, in which she was paired with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She has also been part of notable films such as Mardaani, Mardaani 2 and Qarib Qarib Single.

Avneet was a TV star and an internet sensation before debuting as a leading lady. She first shot to fame as a young contestant on Dance India Dance Li'l Masters in 2010. Since then, she has appeared in Dance Ke Superstars and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5. She has also enthralled viewers with her performances in Meri Maa, Chandra Nandini and as Jasmine in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga.
