Aww! Sai Tamhankar wraps Sony Liv's show Pet Puraan, adopts stray cat from sets

Renowned Marathi actress Sai Tamhankar has wrapped up the shooting of her upcoming film Pet Puraan. The movie is backed by Sony LIV. After working on the film, Sai has realised even more how pets change our lives for the better and went on to adopt a stray cat from the sets soon after wrapping up the show.

Sharing a photo of the clapperboard, Sai claimed that the movie has changed her in unimaginable ways. The logo of the film was also unveiled along with it.

Sai, who was shooting with a cat named Banku, adopted him. "He has changed our lives!!!," the actress shared on her Instagram handle.

Pet Puraan, like the title suggests, is a story about how dogs, cats and other pets bring about happiness in a dull life. It also sheds light on why these animals deserve better treatment than humans.

The Marathi film is helmed by Dnyanesh Zoting. It stars Lalit Prabhakar as the male lead.

Both Sai and Lalit were last seen on web shows on different OTT platforms. While Lalit was seen in Sony Liv's Shantit Kranti as one of the male leads, Sai played an equally remarkable character in MX Player's Samantar season 2. The show starred Swwapnil Joshi in the lead role and is among one of the most hit franchises in the Marathi series.

The release date for Pet Puraan is yet to be unveiled. Meanwhile, Sai has been posting photos of Banku on her Instagram handle to keep the fans intrigued about the project and how he has brightened up her life more.
