Sivakarthikeyan has gone on a digital detox. The actor today took to his social media handle to announce that he was going on a break. He also dropped a couple of brand new pictures in which the actor is seen in a casual look. The pictures have been taken at an airport and it looks like the actor is going on a holiday.

The actor captioned the pictures,"My dear brothers and sisters, I am taking a break from Twitter for a while. Take care and I will be back soon. PS: All updates on the films will be shared here by my team (sic)."

The actor had recently announced the release date of two of his upcoming films, Maaveeran and Ayalaan. Maaveeran, directed by National Award-winning director Madonne Ashwin, is all set to hit screens on the Independence Day week (August 11). The film is bilingual and is titled Maaveerudu in Telugu. Sivakarthikeyan had also dropped a making video of the film, in which he is seen doing some heavy-duty action.

On the other hand, Ayalaan, his science fiction comedy helmed by R Ravikumar, is all set to release on Deepavali.  Ayalaan is Sivakarthikeyan's first pan-Indian film, which will have the highest number of CG shoots for a pan-Indian movie. The film's production house KJR Studios had announced that there will be more than 4,500 VFX shots with the alien character playing a pivotal role in the movie.

The makers also dropped posters of Sivakarthikeyan with the friendly alien Ayalaan. Phantom FX, the company behind the CG of many Hollywood movies is part of the film.

The actor is all set to team up with Rajkumar Periyasamy next. The film will have Sai Pallavi as the leading lady, marking her maiden collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. The film, which is tentatively referred to as SK21 and will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's production house, Raaj Kamal Film International.
