Ayalvaashi, which is also scripted by Irshad, has Soubin Shahir, Binu Pappu, Nikhila Vimal, Lijomol Jose, Naslen, Kottayam Nazeer and Jagadeesh as part of its cast.

What is Ayalvaashi about?

The movie, which is a comedy entertainer, revolves around two families. Soubin essays the role of Thajudeen while Binu plays his best friend Benny. Cracks begin to show in the duo’s friendship, when a scooter that Benny was planning to sell, has dents and scratches that weren’t there before. Benny’s mother accuses Thaju, who was last seen riding the scooter. A series of misunderstandings then occur as both men also deal with issues in their personal lives. Thaju then takes it upon himself, to prove his innocence as well as bring forth the culprit.

Nikhila Vimal plays Benny’s wife in the film while Lijomol and Naslen essay Thaju’s wife and brother-in-law, respectively. The film also has Gokulan in a pivotal role as Thaju’s aide, who helps him find the person responsible for the quarrel between the two childhood friends.

In an earlier interview with us, Irshad said the change in the cast, never really affected how the movie was planned and executed. “Ayalvaashi is a smaller film and so there was never really any demand for huge infrastructure or logistics. So, I never felt disappointed about the change in the cast; in fact, I am excited about the final product,” he said.
