Ayan Mukerji calls Ranbir Kapoor a true partner in his journey: He was the first to know the idea of Brahmastra

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's magnum opus Brahmastra is finally out to stream online. The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer is now available to watch on Disney+ Hotstar. A few ago, while announcing the OTT release date, the director informed that the movie is set to have a few changes and a few more snippets to be added to it for the audiences' better visual experience. 

Meanwhile, in a recent statement, Ayan explains the casting process for Brahmastra and how he decided who plays whom in the film. 

Sharing insights, the filmmaker unveiled in a recent statement that when he and his tea, started writing the characters, he was quite sure about who all needed to be cast to play the primary roles. He also shared that he considered himself very lucky that some of the best talents in the country supported the overall vision of his project. "I am very grateful to the entire cast for that support. It has made Brahmāstra what it is today,” he added.

Ayan also revealed that Ranbir has been his true partner in this whole journey and he was the first person to be involved when the idea came to the director's mind.

Recently, the filmmaker and the actors were seen rigorously promoting Brahmastra's digital release with quirky and fun videos.

Ayan took one of the videos to his official Instagram handle and shared it with a fun caption that reads, "Ranbir, I hope you’re reading this from your secret Instagram account —- You have 2 more parts to go on Brahmāstra so you better be nice to me !!! #brahmastraondisneyplushotstar #nov4th (sic)."

Brahmastra, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni with Shah Rukh Khan in a special cameo role, is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from November 4.
