Dhoom 4 has already become the talk of the town even before the official announcement of the film has been made. There have been reports that Ranbir Kapoor will be headlining the film as an antagonist and it has already heightened the excitement. There were rumours that Aditya Chopra was bringing on board Vijay Krishna Acharya as the director, however, the recent update states that not him but Ayan Mukerji might come on board for the film.
According to recent reports, Ayan Mukerji, who is currently busy directing Yash Raj Film's War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani may direct Dhoom 4. The film, which is the fourth installment of the heist franchise is one of the most anticipated films, the recent update has now created more buzz around it. If things go as per the speculations, Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji will collaborate again after their film Brahmastra.

However, as Ayan Mukerji is currently busy filming War 2 and then he also has the second part of Brahmastra in his hands, he has requested some time from Aditya Chopra so he could concentrate on his films first. According to reports, Chopra also wants to launch Dhoom 4 at the right time given the massive fan following around the blockbuster franchise.
"Aditya Chopra knows the power of Dhoom franchise and has kept it closest to his heart. While he is developing a series of spy films, he knows the value of Dhoom franchise and wants to bring it at the right time with the right cast and right director. His mind is all focused to create Dhoom 4 with best talents of India," a source told Bollywood Hungama.
Meanwhile, along with Ranbir Kapoor, the makers are planning to bring on board two actors from the younger generation to play the cop duo. It will be exciting to see who they chose to make the film bigger and better.
