Pandit P Khurana, who happens to be the father of the two celebrated actor brothers of Bollywood- Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana, passed away today. As per the earlier reports, Pandit P Khurana, was suffering from heart related problems and that he was under treatment in a private hospital in Mohali. Readers may know that, Mohali is the same location, which also happens to be the birth place of Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana.

In a media note, the official spokesperson of Aparshakti Khurrana stated, “It’s with our deep sadness to inform that Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana’s father, Astrologer P Khurana passed away this morning at 10:30am in Mohali, owing to a prolonged incurable ailment. We are indebted for all your prayers and support during this time of personal loss”. Both the brothers- Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana were extremely close to their father.

Pretty often, Ayushmann Khurrana used to share photographs of his parents on social media. In one such post, while speaking about his father., he had captioned it as, “We got it from him. The discipline. The love for music, poetry, films and art. He studied law but was always intrigued by astrology. He’s the reason behind the double Ns and double Rs in my name. At the same time he also taught us that we have the ability to carve out our own destiny and our good karma can supersede any soothsayer. My friend, philosopher and guide. My father’.

On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana was seen in films like ‘Doctor G’ and ‘An Action Hero’. He also has ‘Dream Girl 2’ up for release. The film will see Ananya Panday playing the female lead. On the other hand, Aparshakti Khurrana was seen in films like ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’ and ‘Bhediya’.
