Ayushmann Khurrana: Neha Kakkar and I were rejected from Indian Idol on the same day

Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to bring his charisma to the stage of Indian Idol season 13, along with his An Action Hero co-star Jaideep Ahlawat. During their guest appearance on the singing reality show, Ayushmann had a delightful anecdote to share which revealed his past connection with Indian Idol, and the show’s judge Neha Kakkar.

The makers recently unveiled a new promo for the upcoming episode of the show, where Ayushmann is seen narrating the incident. The actor revealed that he and Neha had once been rejected from being a part of the show, and narrated how the duo had gone back to Delhi dejected, along with 50 other participants who shared their fate. Ayushmann then marvelled at the fact that today, Neha was a judge on the very show she got rejected from, while Ayushmann was a guest on it.

The promo was shared on the official social media handles of Sony Television, with the caption “Aap bhi samet lijiye inspiration Neha ji aur Ayushmann ji se!”.

The latest and 13th season of Indian Idol also features Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya as judges. The show is hosted by Aditya Narayan.

Meanwhile, Ayushman was last seen in Anubhuti Kashyap’s directorial, Doctor G, which also featured Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah. The actor will next be seen in An Action hero, which also features Jaideep, Neeraj Madhav, Alexander Garcia, Mohd Talib, Hiten Patel, Rachit Jadoun, John Byrne, Jitendra Rai, and Neill Barnes in pivotal roles. The film, directed by Anirudh Iyer, will be released in theatres on December 2, 2022.

Ayushman will also be seen in the sequel to Dream Girl, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, which will see him share the screen with Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal and Seema Pahwa.
