In Thamma, Abhishek’s Jana from Stree had a cameo appearance, and he was seen referring to Ayushmann’s Alok as Bittu, his friend in Stree. Meanwhile, Bittu’s character was played by Aparshakti Khurana. Reacting to it, Ayushmann revealed that Jana's confusion between Bittu and Alok was an improvisation that was executed right before the shot was taken. “It was a last-minute inclusion," he said.

He further added that it wasn’t there in the script and that scene was written at the last minute, and it was either Amar Kaushik or Abhishek Banerjee who came up with this.

"And to be honest, it was very difficult to keep a straight face when we were filming that scene. It required two-three takes for us to get it right because I used to burst out laughing. It was a great meta joke!" Ayushmann shared.
