Actress Nithya Menen is all set to be a part of the upcoming Telugu multi-starrer film, which is a remake of Malayalam flick Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati will be teaming up for the Sagar Chandra directorial, which is tentatively being referred to as PSPK-Rana movie.
Nithya Menen, who has acted in all languages across south, has some remarkable hit films to her list, including OK Kanmani, Ustad Hotel, Mersal, Kanchana 2 and Awe!. The crew announced her as the female lead of the project on Friday through social media and welcomed her on board. Even though there aren’t many details about her role, audiences expect her to play the role of Pawan Kalyan’s wife. With the actress joining the film’s cast, fans have set high expectations on the project, as she is known for picking roles which have scope to perform. The latest update from the makers is that Nithya has joined the set and started shooting for her portions in Hyderabad.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum was released in Malayalam in 2020, under the direction of Sachy. The film, which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Biju Menon, Gowri Nandha and Anna Rajan, received appreciation from both critics and the viewers alike. The movie’s plot, which is centred around the conflict between two male leads, was lauded for the manner in which it was developed.
National Award winning actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani will also be seen playing a pivotal role in the untitled movie.
The film, backed by Sithara Entertainments, will have songs composed by music director S.S Thaman and dialogues by ace filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas. It is said that the movie’s shooting is currently in progress and that the crew has already wrapped up 50 percent of the portions.
