Azaad OTT release date: When and where to watch Ajay Devgn, Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan's period drama

Azaad marks the acting debut of Raveena Tandon's daughter, Rasha Thadani and Ajay Devgn's nephew, Aaman Devgan. The film also stars Ajay in a key role. The period drama hit theaters on January 17, 2025, and after its theatrical run, the film is all set for an OTT debut. Netflix has shared the OTT release date of Azaad on their Instagram account.

On March 13, Netflix India took to their Instagram account and dropped a poster of Azaad. They wrote, "Bahaduri, wafadaari, aur jung aazadi ki Watch Azaad on Netflix, out 14 March #AzaadOnNetflix."

Azaad plot

Azaad is set in 1920s India, where a young stable boy bonds with a horse named Azaad, and their journey becomes a tale of rebellion and self-discovery amidst the fight for freedom. Their interconnected journey unfolds as a story of rebellion and resilience set against the backdrop of 1920s India. The story also explores themes of freedom, courage, and the awakening of power amidst the country's struggle for independence.

In the film, Ajay Devgn was seen as Vikram Singh, a dacoit (rebel), while Aaman played the role of the young stable boy, Govind. Rasha portrayed the role of Janaki, the daughter of the landlord.

The OTTplay review for Azaad reads, "Azaad begins on a great note and has confident actors anchoring it, but it loses the track midway, only to find it again by the end and become a film with Lagaan’s soul but not nature."

In a statement, Rasha said that Azaad is very special to her as it's her first project. "I can't be more grateful to Abhishek sir for giving me this opportunity and believing in me. This has been a beautiful and incredibly special journey altogether," she said.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Azaad also stars Diana Penty, Piyush Mishra, Mohit Malik, Jiya Amin, and Dylan Jones in pivotal roles. It is produced by RSVP and Guy In The Sky Pictures. Amit Trivedi composed the film's music. The cinematography is done by Satyajit Pande and the editor is Chandan Arora.
