Arjun Janya’s composition, Kaviraj’s lyrics and Aishwarya Rangarajan’s vocals are also receiving a lot of love
Golden Star Ganesh’s first release for the year, Baanadariyalli, was supposed to be in theatres on March 17. Director Preetham Gubbi was the first to announce the date, but soon enough, filmmaker R Chandru came along and staked claim to it as well for his pan-India film, Kabzaa. Considering that there is also a big Hollywood release, Shazaam! Fury of the Gods, on March 17, Preetham graciously bowed out of the race and is now set to announce a new date on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Incidentally, Baanadariyalli was initially meant to be a Christmas 2022 release and has been pushed ahead twice now. Perhaps, third time’s truly the charm for the team.
In the run-up to the film’s release, though, Preetham has been dropping songs from the film, with the latest, Gold Fish, a runaway hit with audiences. At a time when lyrical videos are the order of the day, Preetham treated audiences to the full video song from the film and those who’ve seen it can’t stop raving about Ganesh and Rukmini’s adorable chemistry, Arjun Janya’s soothing melody, Kaviraj’s lyrics, and, most of all, Aishwarya Rangarajan’s vocals.
“This will be one of the top 5 songs of 2023 for sure,” wrote Sachin, while Pranav Chandra added, “This song is beautiful to hear it's soulful, soothing and melodious to hear. AJ music in this song is brilliant.” A user going by the name Rocky, wrote, “Wow! Beautiful romantic melody song 🥰 Gani - Rukmini on-screen chemistry next level 💞💥 Lyrics Best gift for Propose Day,” to which, another added, “Arjun jannya sir music. Kaviraj sir lyrics. Aishwarya voice superb benki.”
Baanadariyalli is Ganesh’s fourth combination with Preetham and pairs him with Rukmini Vasanth and Reeshma Nanaiah. The Golden Star plays a cricketer, while Rukmini is a surfer and Reeshma a wildlife photographer in the film that Preetham describes as ‘Not a love story, but a story about love’.
