Baang teaser: Shanvi Srivastava and Raghu Dixit are in full-on gangster mode

Over the last few days, the team of the upcoming Kannada flick Baang had been releasing character reveal posters. The film, which has Shanvi Srivastava, Saathvika, Raghu Dixit, Rithvik, Natya and Sunil on its cast, is supposedly a dark comedy gangster flick.

Directed by Sri Ganesh Parashuram, Baang is a project that Shanvi is happy to be a part of. “I am at a point in my career, where I want to only do work that makes me happy. One of the projects that I am a part of is Baang, in which I play a gangster. Although, this is a gangster flick, it is a dark comedy, so it nice and quirky. The first look and teaser of Baang will released on November 29, which will give audiences a sneak peek of what to expect of this film,” Shanvi had told us earlier, adding that the film is slated for a January 2022 release. The film will see the actress, as Leona, in an action avatar, for which, we hear, she had taken boxing lessons. The first look had fans of the actress commenting that she looked like a desi Lara Croft.

The film also brings to the screen music director-singer Raghu Dixit, who plays a character named ‘Daddy’ in the film.

Earlier today, the team released the teaser, which introduced audiences to the basic premise of the film. Baang has been produced by Pooja Vasant Kumar under the banner of UK Productions. The film has music by Ritvik Muralidhar, best known for his compositions in Managalavara Rajaadina, while Udith Leela has handled the cinematography. The film, we hear, will likely have a January 2022 release.
