Babli Bouncer: Here's Tamannaah Bhatia's adorable first look; Madhur Bhandarkar’s film to release on THIS date

Madhur Bhandarkar is gearing up to bring to the silver screen yet another intriguing and promising looking women centric film in the form of his upcoming directorial Babli Bouncer. The film sees Tamannaah Bhatia take on the role of the titular Babli, a female bouncer who seems to be as bubbly as her namesake. The makers unveiled the actress’ first look from the film as well as its release date.

The first look posters see Tamannaah looking spirited indeed as the titular protagonist, who is seen standing in a club. While one poster features her clad in a denim jacket, the other features her in a black bouncer’s uniform with her arms crossed.

Sharing the first looks on her official social media, the actress wrote “Oye bawale suna kya? Aa gaya hai Babli Bouncer ka time! Dilon ko yeh jodegi, ya khub hadiyaan todegi? Pata chalega jald hi!”.

The film will start streaming on Disney+Hotstar from September 23. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Opening up about the role, Tamannaah had said in a previous statement that the character was one of the most interesting, fun and deep characters she had come across in a long time. The actress said she fell in love with the script and praised the director for bringing memorable female protagonists like Babli onto the silver screen. The director had also said that he was enthusiastic that he would be able to put across a story with a ‘lasting impression’ and said Babli Bouncer had a ‘fantastic’ story.

In addition to Tamannaah, the upcoming film also features Saurabh Shukla, Abhishek Bajaj and Sahil Vaid in prominent roles. Amit Joshi, Aradhana Debnath and Madhur Bhandarkar have penned the film’s concept, story and screenplay. The upcoming film was bankrolled under the banners of Fox Star Studios and Junglee Pictures.
