The film Baby has captured the hearts of many, proving to be a box office sensation by grossing over Rs 70 crores at the box office. It is a remarkable feat for a small-budget production made under Rs 10 crores. Even on weekdays, the movie's screenings are witnessing impressive occupancy rates of 60% which shows what kind of a hit the film has become with the youth.
Well, the film is back in the news as the makers have decided to release the director's cut from the first week of August. Generally, the makers take responses from the audience about the runtime and crisp the scenes. But director Sai Rajesh is releasing the director's cut on screens.
Close to 14 minutes have been added to the runtime and now the film is 185 minutes long. This is something not done before in Telugu cinema. Generally, the director's cut and edited-out scenes are added for the OTT and satellite viewing but Sai Rajesh has decided that he will give the audience a deep perspective of how he narrated the film in actuality.
Baby is in the news for its bold storyline of a young girl dating two boys at the same time. Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaintany play the lead in this film. One of the key factors contributing to Baby's success is its daring content and impactful dialogues that have resonated with viewers.
Sai Rajesh's direction in Baby has garnered significant praise, with stars like Allu Arjun and Vijay Deverankonda commending the film and his narration. The youth has also expressed immense enthusiasm for the movie, leading to the postponement of its OTT release due to the overwhelming response. The film which was supposed to release in the second week of August has been postponed to the fourth week now.
