Back Door OTT release date: When and where to watch Purnaa, Teja Tripurana’s film online

Purnaa, who got hitched recently and gave birth to a baby boy in Dubai earlier this year, was last seen in the direct-to-OTT release Asalu, written and produced by Ravi Babu. Nearly 17 months earlier, the Akhanda actress was also part of a small-budget relationship drama titled Back Door. The film released in December 2021 and had a brief run in theatres across Telugu states.

A long gap post its theatrical release, Back Door is now on OTT. Noted streaming platform Amazon Prime Video acquired its post theatrical digital rights. The film premiered on the OTT giant earlier this week. Teja Tripurana played another pivotal character in the drama produced by B Srinivasa Reddy under Orchid Films. Kandala Krishna Reddy of KR Film International distributed the project. 7 Hills - Satish Kumar presented the film.

Back Door revolves around Arun and a married woman Anjali who get to meet at a family gathering and are gradually attracted to each another. In the absence of her husband, Anjali invites Arun to her house and they wish to take their relationship forward. While Arun is desperate to make the next move, Anjali is slightly hesitant. The former suddenly dies under mysterious circumstances at her home. How will Anjali escape out of this tricky situation?

While Srikanth Naroj cranked the camera for the film, it was edited by Chota K Prasad. Pranav scored the music for the same. Ravi Shankar has worked on the background score. Nirmala and Chandini have penned the lyrics for the songs. Nani is the art director and Raj Krishna is the choreographer.

“Back Door has a very interesting point and is a sharp commentary on several issues within our society. We always ignore the sacrifices made by a housewife and forget that she too has an identity of her own. Not a day goes by when we don't hear about crimes related to extramarital affairs in newspapers. What if a housewife finds herself in the middle of such a crime scene? This is the crux of the film,” the director Karri Balaji said in a chat with OTTplay.com
