It’s finally here; the character introduction of Junior Rebel Star Abishek Ambareesh from his film with Duniya Suri, Bad Manners, was released this morning as a birthday special for the actor. While the earlier first-look images had Abishek in a gun-toting rugged look, we now know that he is playing a police officer in the film. The intense action-packed teaser, which is just over one-minute long, introduces the actor as the new Rebel Star, a tribute to his late father, Ambareesh, and cuts to visuals of him in the khaki uniform, which he rocks, among others. Going the teaser, it appears that Abishek has really worked on his physique to look the part to the T. The sneak peek also packs quite a punch in the action department.
Bad Manners is Abishek’s second film only, after his debut, Amar, directed by Nagshekar. The Suri-Abishek combination was welcomed amid much fanfare in early 2020, with audiences eagerly awaiting just how the director would choose to present the actor onscreen. Abishek is paired with Rachita Ram and newbie Priyanka Kumar in the film. The team had apparently managed to complete one schedule before the second wave of the pandemic and is set to resume shooting this week.
Produced by Sudhir KM, Bad Manners has dialogues by Maasti who is a frequent collaborator of the director. Charan Raj will compose the music, while Shekar S is in charge of cinematography. Apart from Bad Manners, Suri has also announced a sequel to Kendasampige, called Kagebangara, which will be a comedy entertainer with Prashant Siddi and Poornachandra in lead roles. Earlier reports had suggested that Suri was looking at finishing the film in 2020, but there has been no update since. Charan Raj is on board for the music of this project as well.
Here's wishing Kannada cinema's Junior Rebel Star a very happy birtday!
