The Xpose franchise is releasing a spin-off from Himesh Reshammiya's iconic character Ravi Kumar from his hit film 'The Xpose' as an action musical entertainer. Titled as Badass Ravi Kumar, the film will hit theaters on February 7. The film has created a buzz due to its catchy visuals and upbeat songs. However, the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) suggested five changes before its premiere.
Recently, CBFC suggested 5 significant changes to Himesh Reshammiya's film, Badass Ravi Kumar. The Examining Committee cleared the film on January 29 after requesting changes including blurring of brand names for alcoholic products and visuals depicting the middle finger.
Now, as per Bollywood Hungama, sensual scenes were heavily censored, close-ups of bikini-clad women were removed, and visuals highlighting breasts and cleavage were altered. Scenes of a man's hands moving sensually over a woman's thighs and hips have also been altered.
Apart from these, graphic violence was also toned down. A scene of a man being chopped up by a wood chipper was altered as well. Moreover, the word "bi*ch" has been muted in the audio and omitted from the subtitles to comply with the guidelines.
The film has received a UA 16+ certificate, with a final runtime of 141 minutes and 44 seconds, equivalent to 2 hours, 21 minutes, and 44 seconds, after all these changes.
Himesh Reshammiya's film is releasing on the same day as Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan's Loveyapa, and also Interstellar re-release. Loveyapa marks the silver screen debuts of Junaid and Khushi. On the other hand, Interstellar is directed by ace filmmaker Christopher Nolan.
Moreover, directed by Keith Gomes and produced under Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, Badass Ravi Kumar features a star-studded cast, including Kirti Kulhari, Sunny Leone, Prabhudeva, and Sanjay Mishra. The film will hit cinemas on February 7.
