After creating a lot of buzz all over social media, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was finally released in theatres yesterday, on 11th April. Even after creating a lot of hype, the film did not open at the box office with outstanding numbers. On its first day, the film collected ₹15.5 crore nett across all languages in India. Now, on its second day, the film saw a massive drop, according to Sacnilk.com.
On the second day, Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial Bade Miya Chote Miyan earned ₹5.9 crore in India for all languages. The total collection for the film in India now stands at ₹21.55 crore. On Friday, the film had an overall occupancy of 14.05 in Hindi.
With this massive drop in the collection on Day 2, it seems more difficult for the film to live up to its budget of ₹300 crore. Apart from the big budget, it is also to be noted that the film was also promoted on a very high level.

BMCM was released alongside Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan, which is a biography on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, who was known as the architect of Indian football. On its day 1, Ajay Devgn's film minted just ₹7.1 crore, and on day 2, the film saw a drop and earned only ₹2.75 crore, according to the report by Sacnilk.com. However, Maidaan received a positive response from the critics and audiences as compared to Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
Both films are also facing some competition with Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon starrer Crew, which is doing well at the box office. The film is inching closer towards ₹75 crore mark at the Indian box office.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar, and Alaya F as the female lead. The film also features South superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran in a villainous role. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar.
