Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, was released in theatres on April 11. The film, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff tried to maintain its momentum on its first weekend at the box office by earning a total of ₹40.75 crore in 4 days. However, on its first Monday, which is also known as the litmus test for films at the ticket window, the film witnessed a major dip. Produced by Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films, BMCM collected ₹2.50 crore on Monday, i.e., day 5.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, also starring Sonakshi Sinha, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alaya F, and Manushi Chillar was released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada. The film opened at the box office by earning ₹15.65 crore net and then on days 2 and 3, the film saw a huge dip and collected only ₹7.6 crore and 8.5 crore, respectively. On day 4, the film saw a little growth and minted ₹9.05 crore, however, the 5th day drop seems like it might get difficult for the film to survive at the ticket window for a longer time.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan faced competition with Ajay Devgn's Maidaan at the box office, however, even Maidaan did not do wonders, and hence the clash, which appeared to be significant, was actually not. The total collection of Maidaan is still below ₹30 crore.
