If you thought that this year’s Eid was only about sweets and new clothes, then, it's time that you think again. This year’s Eid not just brings with it a galore of sweets and celebrations, but also three good reasons to celebrate cinema.

The three reasons are in the form of Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan, Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra starrer Amar Singh Chamkila and the much-awaited Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. While Amar Singh Chamkila will be having an OTT release (it will be released on Netflix), the other two films viz., Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan and Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will be released in theatres.

Now, with just a few days left for the release of the film, let us do an overview of the Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff starrer film, for which the cinegoers have been eagerly waiting for.

The first ever trailer of the film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan saw the audiences welcome it with utmost love and affection. Let’s face it. The very moment the film was announced, many did not take a liking to the film, because they just did not want the original (Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda) to be touched upon by anyone. But, once the film’s trailer got released, it gradually and confidently started growing amongst the cinegoers.

The gripping trailer of the film introduces the three lead characters in the form of Bade Miyan Akshay Kumar, Chote Miyan Tiger Shroff and the mysteriously masked man (played by Prithviraj Sukumaran). Without revealing too much about the film and the characters, the film’s trailer delivered what was expected of it!

Even though the actual plot of the film has not yet been disclosed by the makers, there have been many speculations about the film’s plot. Thanks to the film’s trailer, one just does not get to know whether the characters of Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff are actually friends or foes. This is because, the trailer shows a scene in which the duo of Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff are at loggerheads at each other and also mouth the shocking dialogue that, (in Hindi), “We are such best friends that we can live for each other and also claim each other’s’ lives”! Whatever be the case, will unfold once the film gets released in theatres this week.

While the film has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, it has been written also by him along with Aditya Basu. The film has been produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Ali Abbas Zafar and Himanshu Kishan Mehra. The film boasts of a stellar cast including Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Sonakshi Sinha and Ronit Bose Roy. The film’s chartbuster music needs to be credited to Julius Packiam and Vishal Mishra.

Till now, the makers have been extremely tight-lipped about the name of the OTT platform which will be streaming the film. There have been many, many sudden and shocking movement’s which have been seen happening with this film, just before its release. The film’s makers have now ‘decided to shift from full-day release on April 10 to a half-day release’, as per a report in Bollywood Hungama. The same report also added that, based on the feedback of those who matter the most, the run-time of the film has now been revised to around 2 hours and 35 minutes.
